El Laberinto del fauno

This is a story about a young girl who travels with her pregnant mother to live with her mother’s new husband, a ruthless captain in the Spanish army in 1944 after Franco’s victory. In order to survive the harsh reality of the world around her, she creates a fantasy world that takes her to a faun in the center of a labyrinth. She is given three tasks to survive.
